Well, I did a thing, I graduated. I started the Visual Arts Diploma program at the University of the Fraser Valley School of Creative Arts in Fall 2017 and wrote my last exam on December 9th of 2019. I graduated on the Deans List and with “Outstanding Achievement”. I’m so grateful I went to Art School at UFV, it was one of the best things I could have done for my practice. I’ve met so many amazing people, artists, art lovers, and mentors, made amazing connections in the industry, had and still continue to have awesome opportunities in the arts, and stacked my portfolio. A lot of doors opened up for me. I’m proud to say I’m a registered small business owner and I have a lot of exciting things in the works. 2020 has been an incredibly hard year for me, it was nice to have something to celebrate. UFV sent us our papers and a little celebratory package. I’m sad it’s all over, I thought two years would be more than enough, but I could see myself doing more schooling in the future and I’m really happy with where I am in my practice.
