“Pdeek” is the Nisga’a word for tribe or large family. I’ve illustrated young animals that represent each of the four tribes working together to form a totem pole, eagle, raven, orca and wolf.
Note: There are other animals that can represent each of the tribes depending on the traditional history of the families.
