Description
This design represents the circle of life. The moon, with its continuous cycles, symbolizes life’s ongoing nature, while the skull reminds us that everything has an end. It’s a reminder to savor every moment and live life to the fullest.
A double meaning: The skull represents Chantelle’s ancestral village of Ging̱olx, BC (Place of Scalps) and the crescent moon is a reference to Hoobiyee, the Nisg̱a’a New Year, celebrating a bountiful harvest (filled spoon) and year to come.
